The choice is yours Vote by mail Vote in-person early Vote in-person on Election Day Voting in Pima County is more convenient than ever Announcement - Ajo Improvement Company (AIC) New Billing Format Dear Valued Customer, It is my pleasure to introduce myself to you as the new manager of Ajo Improvement Company and a new Ajo resident. My name is Tom Cosgrove, and I have just completed my first year in this new role. It has been a refreshing and challenging transition from my previous roles with Freeport-McMoRan where I held senior positions in Utilities and Engineering at our Bagdad Arizona site. I look forward to meeting many of you! Much of our early focus has been directed towards operational improvements and customer service experience improvements. We are excited to announce that Ajo Improvement Company (AIC) will be providing you with a new bill format beginning with your September 2022 bill. This change will provide you with additional billing information, a cleaner presentation of your account and bill, and a better customer experience with improved bill delivery timeframes. We will be hosting a virtual information session on July 26th at 10 am where we will be walking through the new bill format and answer any questions or take any feedback you may have regarding this new look. The online meeting link is 1142479710.fmi@m.webex.com. If you are unable to attend this session, we kindly ask that you submit all inquiries by telephone to the office at (520) 387-2001. What will change: • Customers will see changes that will clearly display current usage, adjustors, fees, and taxes on their bills. Our primary objective is to ensure our monthly bills are understandable and informative for our customers. • The new bill will also provide a chart comparing current and historical usage of both water and electricity with current and previous year readings so you can understand how your usage patterns may be changing over time. • The new billing format provides AIC the opportunity to more easily insert service-related messaging so your monthly bill can become another method of staying up to date with changes and announcements on the AIC system. What will not change: • Your billing cycle will remain the same, just the billing format is changing. • Your account number will remain the same. • Your bill date will remain the same and payment will still be due on the 24th of the month. • The payment remittance name and address remain the same, Ajo Improvement Company, PO Drawer 9, Ajo, AZ 85321-0009. • If you are currently set up for automatic payments, your payment draft will occur on the same date as previously. We appreciate your business and thank you for your understanding as we strive to improve our processes and overall customer experience. AIC will be announcing a meeting in early October to solicit feedback from our customers to make any further adjustments to the new format as required. Sincerely, Tom Cosgrove Manager, Utility Services Ajo Improvement Company Olsens IGA Marketplace was featured in the June edition of The Arizona Food Industry Journal for having the store’s best results in the IGA Cares – Muscular Dystrophy Association Spring Shamrock fundraiser since the program began in 2014. Store employee Nick Zahary got to say, “That’s me!” as he points to a photo of himself in the magazine. Other employees included in the photos were Daniella Mariscal and Margarita Soto, along with several customers. “Contributions from our customers were extraordinary!” said store manager Maribel Reyes. “For 2023 we’re going to put forth the same enthusiasm as we did this year, and hopefully customers will help us surpass this year’s numbers.” Emergency?
