The Ahwatukee Irip was arranged by Louise Mur- dock. The group went together in a van to inspect the innovative and ef- ficienl homes designed by the Frank Lloyd Wright Foundation. A house buill parlially underground was landscaped with grass, cac- ti and river rock. The rocks covered rain waler collec- lion lanks, with the water filtered and used to water the grounds. The roof was done in copper, which will turn turquoise in 25 years, as the fountain in tile yard had already done. The final event of the chapter year was held May 13, a sleak fry and potluck al the home of Mr. and Mrs. Joe Roche. Members and their husbands en- joyed spring decorations and fine food. Circus will be in Phoenix and Tucson The Ringling Bros. and Barnun & Bailey Circus will be making its annual visit to Phoenix and Tuc- son in July. "The Greatest Show on Earth" will ap- pear at the Phoenix Coliseum for 12 perfor- mances Wednesday, June 30, through Monday, July 5. In Tucson the perfor- mances will begin on Wed- nesday, July 7, and con- tinue through Sunday, July 11, at the Tucson Community Center. The 112th Edition of the world famous circus features Charly Baumann and his beautiful but, dangerous tigers; daredevil Elvin Bales on his motor- cycle; Miche, the world's smallest man, with his pony act; Axel Gautier and his performing pachyder- ms; Miguel Vazquez, who will attempt a quadruple somersault from the flying trapeze to the hands of his cather, as well as clowns, stiltwalkers, unicydists, performing camels, aerialists, acrobats, and much more. Wulf, spokesman for Jehovah's Witnesses, said Tuesday 22 delegates representing Ajo, Arizona, will attend one of 104 conventions scheduled in 68 cities in the United States during the summer of 1982. Wulf said ap- proximately 1,000,000 per- sons are expected nation- wide al the "Kingdom Truth" conventions. "The outlook is dismal in Ihe world today," Wulf said. "Many people question whether mankind can survive in view of the complex problems threatening us. "A tremendous world change is imminent. Only divine intervention can provide a solution to the crises facing mankind and the increasing peril of nuclear war."
